Top Priority: Bicycles

Bicycles here are a major form of trans-
portation—for all kinds of things.  They sometimes carry entire families, and they often carry commercial goods.

The most common kinds of bicycles are one-speeds.  Many bicycle seats have little tassles on the back.

My rough estimate would be that 90% of bicycle riders are men, but I have seen women and (more often) girls riding bicycles.  It’s very common to see two grown men riding a bicycle together.  And it’s very common to see men riding “girl” bikes with the sloped bar—even, sometimes, pink ones.
